Terms and conditions
Last updated:
These are the ground rules for using Races Near and for buying a Featured spot. We kept them short and in plain words.
Who runs Races Near
Races Near is run by Tiny Labs LLC, a small independent studio. When these terms say "we" or "us," they mean Tiny Labs LLC. We are not a race, a timing company or a registration platform, and we're not affiliated with any of them.
Race info is for planning
Race dates, distances, start times and prices come from public registration feeds, race organizers and official race sites. They can change at any time, and we can miss an update. Please confirm the details with the organizer or on the race's registration page before you register, pay or travel.
Refunds, transfers, bib pickup and results are handled by the race, not by us.
Featured spots
Race directors and running brands can pay for a Featured spot:
- Homepage featured race: $49 per race, featured through race day.
- Featured race on city calendars: $39 per race, featured through race day.
- Marathon Majors pages featured spot: $79 early-bird through November 30, 2026, then $99 per race, featured on the Marathon Majors hub and all 8 Majors race pages through race day.
- Brand and newsletter spots: the price and dates we agree on before you pay.
Here is how every Featured spot works:
- What we guarantee. Your spot runs on the pages and dates you paid for. We don't guarantee any number of visits, clicks, sign-ups or sales.
- Always labeled. Paid spots are labeled Featured, and their links use rel="sponsored". Paying never changes the free listings or their order.
- Payment. Payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- All sales are final once your spot goes live.
- When we refund you in full. If we can't run your spot, you get all your money back. For example: the race is cancelled or moved, it's outside the cities we cover, you paid twice by mistake, or the site is down for a meaningful part of your dates.
- We can say no. We can decline or remove a listing that is misleading, spam or unsafe. If we remove it before it runs, we refund you in full.
Affiliate links
Races Near is a RunSignup affiliate. When you register through one of our RunSignup links, RunSignup shares part of its processing fee with us, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate status never changes which races we list or how we sort them. More about our affiliate links.
The club widget and calendar feeds
The race widget, the calendar feeds and the race lists behind them are free to use. They are provided as is, and we may change, pause or stop them at any time.
No warranty
We work hard to keep the site accurate and online, but Races Near is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, Tiny Labs LLC isn't responsible for indirect or knock-on losses from using the site, the widget, the feeds or a Featured spot, such as a missed race, travel costs or lost sales. If we do owe you something, the most we owe is what you paid us for the spot in question.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the new version applies. A Featured spot you already paid for runs under the terms that were in place when you bought it.
